Daphne and Co. are doing wonderfully! With happy little furr fluffs with fat little tummies theres not much more you could ask for. The little ones are learning how to play and are fiestier each and every day. I LOVE this stage!! It's so darn cutre to watch them learn how to play and sneak attack each other, My cat "Squishy" happens to think they're pretty cool himself. Anyone that will play with him is A+ in his book. <br />
<br />
Babies are stareting to show interest in MOmma's nummies and I bet it's only a week or so before they begin to chow on their own. That's always fun (and messy) times too!<br />
I apologize for taking oh so long to name the little ones but I have to admit that this special someone has had a nickname all along that is gonna have to stick so I formally introduce you to.... Kramer! =)<br />

MORE TO COME SOON!!!Kitty Kisseshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14792077394068319533noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-654920288928770300.post-34498402291308184912012-03-15T12:06:00.004-07:002012-03-15T12:06:31.315-07:00A Loving Mother And Her Wee Ones I am happy to say that Momma kitty is doing SO much better!!!<br />
<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-af-VPtkSXnU/T2I9Zu1bBiI/AAAAAAAAAkM/UlYgMvxTMA0/s1600/DSCN8374.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-af-VPtkSXnU/T2I9Zu1bBiI/AAAAAAAAAkM/UlYgMvxTMA0/s400/DSCN8374.JPG" width="400" /></a> Mom is taking wonderful care of her babes and is on the up and up herself! She has been eating a ton the last few days and has gotten her milk back. I have been feeding the babies with a bottle a couple of times a day just to be sure they are getting enough milk and not exhausting momma too much, but lemme tell ya, this momma does not like her babies away from her. She is the most nurturing little lady ever. Whenever she hears a little one crying she immediately comes over to check things out and 'talk' to the baby. It's just darling! <br />
<br />
<br />
The babies are all plump and happy! They are starting to develop their own little personalities and have began to bat at each other in play. It's so cute watching them learn how to be kitties! I can't wait to see them bouncing around, chasing each other and playing with toys! It's coming soon!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tJRXGZgcj54/T2I9SeMPlaI/AAAAAAAAAj8/B78nxPsAALE/s1600/DSCN8391.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="298" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tJRXGZgcj54/T2I9SeMPlaI/AAAAAAAAAj8/B78nxPsAALE/s400/DSCN8391.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
I have named Momma Daphne, although I have nicknames for the little ones, I have yet to officially name them since their personalities are just now showing. Once I get to know them a wee bit better, names will follow. I am sure my daughter Ember will have much opinion in naming them as usual. =)<br />

Unfortunately, what was just a case of the sniffles and some daily eye goop has turned into quite a nasty little bug =( My momma has been feeling punkier each day. She is not wanting to eat a thing and has lost her milk. After seeing the doc yesterday the family is back home and I have had to step in and play momma to them myself. I am bottle feeding all five little ones and giving mom her meds, vitamins, and fluids. Keep your fingers crossed that they all are 'up and running' like new in no time.<br />
<br />
It is definately not an easy task to take on, caring for five 3 weeks old babies and a sick mom, but I have to admit that I enjoy watching their little ears wiggle in satisfaction when they get their bottle. There's nothing more sweet than a mini kitty relying on you to be it's mommy. Their adorable little faces and purrs definately make up for the lost sleep ;)<br />
<br />
Mom seems a tiny bit happier this morning and I am hoping she will be back to her sweet natured little self soon. It's too bad I can't just put her in her comfiest pjs and get her some good chocolate to make her better. I know it sure helps me ;)<br />
<br />
On a brighter note, the babies had a few weeks of their momma's nurturing to give them a kick start in life and Im pretty confident they are strong enough to make it through this with a little help. Hopefully they will only need a couple of weeks of the bottle before they learn to chow on their own.<br />
In the meantime, why not enjoy some outrageously adorable pics, whaddya say?? ;)<br />

With 'kitten season' getting an early start we are seeing wee ones beginning to come into the shelter. As cute as the little buggers are, lets keep our fingers crossed for a managable kitten season this year.<br />
<br />
With that said, are you wondering if I have steaked claim on any of these foster babies? Well OF COURSE I did!! Last night I brought home a beautiful young momma and 5 itty bundles of fluff! It's been a while since I've had one's this bitty! At only a couple of weeks of age these stinkers are a whole lotta cute!<br />
<br />
Make sure you're seated... deep breath... cuz here they come!!<br />

Momma has settled in wonderfully and seems nice and comfortable here already. She's taking great care of her little ones keeping them clean warm and FAT! Mom has a bit of the 'weepy eyes' and is getting some medicated goop in her eyes for it, but other than that this little family is doing great so far. I look forward to watching them grow and sharing their journey with you all. Stay tuned ;)</div>

Unfortunately they would not be adoptable through our shelter as companion animals. Hopefully they find a great barn to catch mice in! ;) I am glad I had the oopurtunity to meet those boys and find an out for them. I will be keeping tabs on their progress and will be ure to keep you all in the loop as well.<br />
<br />
As for now, it's just one adorable baby bunny here. Can you believe it!? I'm sure it wont last long though. The pregnant mommas and mom's with newbies have been trickling into the shelter showing us that kitten season is around the corner. Stay tuned ;)Kitty Kisseshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14792077394068319533noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-654920288928770300.post-66337633621504805002012-02-22T11:13:00.001-08:002012-02-22T11:13:27.797-08:00Is there anything sweeter?Is there anything in ths world sweeter than a bunny's kisses? Little Nanny just melts my heart when she hops into my lap to give my arm some kisses. I have to admit it melts my heart instantly each and every time! I have seen some pretty dang cute things in my foster life, but bunny kisses have gotta be the sweetest thing EVER! Especially from an itty bitty baby Nanny! Ugh..how do you do it Nanny? You just take my breath away..<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
AND! How cute is it to watch this little munchkin devour veggies bigger than she? UGH, she LOVES her some veggies! Call me crazy but I think it's ADORABLE how her little mouth moves in a million directions as she eats!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
We're slowly making a tiny bit of progress with these boys but not as much as I hoped for. I take them out and snuggle with them several times a day, much to their dislike 80% of the time. I am thinking they may have to be seperated so they no longer feed off of each others behaviors. BUT, if you see them when they are around my Squishy kitty, you wouldn't even know they were born wild! They LOVE Squishy! It's quite adorable how they rub against him and let him clean them like momma. =)</div>

Then came Dudley!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pDrAG4DnMjA/Tz2_G1DRyvI/AAAAAAAAAfo/vckHLRwSVIM/s1600/DSCN7981.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pDrAG4DnMjA/Tz2_G1DRyvI/AAAAAAAAAfo/vckHLRwSVIM/s320/DSCN7981.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
This adorable cross-eyed hissy pants of a kitten. After coaxing him to eat and allow me to touch him a few times (not that he liked it at all) I was determined to take him home and foster him until he was more social.<br />
<br />
Little did I know, he was soon to be reunited with his equally adorable (and hissy) little brother!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-t6Gb59FStc4/Tz2_blUwzjI/AAAAAAAAAfw/ztmM0a9rEpg/s1600/DSCN7991.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-t6Gb59FStc4/Tz2_blUwzjI/AAAAAAAAAfw/ztmM0a9rEpg/s320/DSCN7991.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
The man who had trapped and brought in little Dudley, came back to the shelter a few hours later to turn in his brother! Now I just HAD to take them both home! And so of course, I begged to be able to foster and socialize these borderline feral boys and brought them home with me that night.<br />
<br />
They have been with me for a few days now and I am VERY slowly making progress with them. It will take ALOT to get these boys to completely trust us humans after being born outside to a wild mommy, living off of shrews and garbage for several weeks and then bei8ng trapped and taken away from the only security they knew, Momma. But, I will be momma now and do my best to gain their trust. In due time I think they will come around. ;)Kitty Kisseshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14792077394068319533noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-654920288928770300.post-16434353009471498962012-02-12T12:53:00.000-08:002012-02-22T11:14:16.796-08:00Some Bunny To LoveWant some bunny to love?... Is anybody home??? <span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">We're baaaack! Can you believe it? I apologize for the extreme SLACKING on my part. I know it's been a vacation and a half since I last posted >.< Forgive me?? LOTS has happened, but now I'm ready to get back int he swing of things!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;"> So let's catch up on things, shall we?</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;"> I am sorry to say that the last five babies that were posted are dancing in kitty heaven with all the tuna and sparkle balls their hearts can desire. Kipper brought home Feline Luekemia and I took a hard hit from the news. This played a great part in the wind being taken out of my blogging sail. </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;"> After a very short break, I have continued to foster(duh!). After all, this fostering business isn't just for the fun of playing with adorable babies. These little (and big) buggers need me! </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;"> 'Kitten season' is almost at a lull right now and I have not had too much going on here. BUT, let me remind you that the term 'too much' almost doesn't exist in my fostering vocabulary. So of course this means I only have a couple of fosters ;) One being a very stinkin' cute Netherland Dwarf rabbit of only 10 weeks! Wait til you see it! >.< Pics are coming soon (as my batteries charge) I promise! The other is a sweet older kitten of about 6 months. She was brought to the shelter and although there were a few interested people wanting to meet her, she wasn't having any part of that. After spending several days in the cattery, she was not getting any better. All she wanted to do was hide in her little box and protest anyone daring to come close. I, of course, took that as a challenge and brought her home. She surely would not find a home with that attitude.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;"> This little girl as been with me for a few days now and I'm slowly making her like me (whether she wats to or not!) =) Needless to say, she's coming around! Today was the first day I was able to get her to play with toys. Speaking of playing, she's running through the kitchen enjoying the quiet nighttime here while she can. I think she's going to be a normal loving kitty in no time. Oh and did I mention she's an adorable polydactal baby!?? ;)</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Iiu6kDb4VdI/TzIOg-T8OyI/AAAAAAAAAew/yhtIrqBNhU8/s1600/DSCN7930.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Iiu6kDb4VdI/TzIOg-T8OyI/AAAAAAAAAew/yhtIrqBNhU8/s320/DSCN7930.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Thanks for the tuna mom!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
No name yet. T'will come soon! Promise.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Stay tuned!!</div>Kitty Kisseshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14792077394068319533noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-654920288928770300.post-29098712919250515772011-09-25T19:33:00.000-07:002012-03-02T19:01:17.556-08:00The Fab Five The babies went in with me to work yesterday for their weigh-ins (my scale said kaplooey ;( ) and I can't believe how much they've grown! Kipper is still the smallest by but golley he's only a coupla of ounces behind! It's funny how only 2 of them are 'true' siblings yet they've all found a way to catch up with each other and are now all within 4 ounces of each other! This will make it to where they can all be fixed and adopted out at the same time. WOOT!<br />
Kipper has plumped up to a hefty 1pound 9 ounces! That's over a pound more than he was 2 weeks ago!! GO KIPPER GO! The others are a wee bit ahead from 1lb 11oz - 1lb 13oz. I'm such a proud momma! The fatty err..biggest is Lulu! She was only 15 ounces when she came to me! I'm happy to see them fat and happy, but of course this means they're almost ready to leave the nest. At 2lbs they will be big enough to be fixed and find homes. As always it's tough to let them go when it seems so soon, but as a foster parent , my job is to plump them for their forever families and let them fly. XOXOXOX<br />
As for now, enjoy some more adorable kitteh pics!! ><span style="font-size: large;"><strong>^.,.^<</strong></span><br />

I even joked about him being the ugliest kitten ever. He sure was a piece of work in the beginning. He was definately the ugly duckling of my batch... BUT, I knew someday he would be a beautiful swan ;)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4gp_r7xAuQA/TnPM7F7ETwI/AAAAAAAAAd4/hXKBFnDhoaE/s1600/009.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4gp_r7xAuQA/TnPM7F7ETwI/AAAAAAAAAd4/hXKBFnDhoaE/s400/009.JPG" width="292" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

I'm sure most of you know Kipper, but were you all aware that I have 4 others!?? Crazy huh.<br />
<br />
By the way Kipper is amazing and plumping more each day! He has gone from a mere 10 ounces to his weight now of 1 pound 4 ounces! I am so proud of him. He's so happy to meet the other kittens and have friends to torture..err play with. ;-)<br />
<br />
As for the others. There are only 2 that are official siblings. Those are...<br />
<br />

Cherry (orange tabby) and Mackenzie (tortie)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Kisses' new mommy emailed me to let me know how she has done in in her new home. She is doing GREAT! She has settled in and run around the house like the confident kitty she always was. She met her new doggie friend and fellow kitties. Her family was hoping she would be buds with the doggie since he adores kitties and the others in the home aren't too interested in him. And of course, she didn't disappoint! She immediately ran up to him and played with his tail =) I knew she would make some family so happy. i am eager to hear more about how she does as she grows. You're such a dazzling little girl Kisses!! I love you!Kitty Kisseshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14792077394068319533noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-654920288928770300.post-31881356445005765792011-09-10T21:14:00.000-07:002012-03-02T19:04:48.574-08:00Goodbye KissesYes, it's that time.<br />
<br />
Kisses was adopted today!<br />
<br />
I am happy she has found a family but am so sad to see her go. As many of you know, she was a truly special little girl and I will miss her dearly. Today was exactly 12 weeks after the first day i met that adorable little girl. After many trips to and from work with me, many lap naps with her, several struggles and sleepless nights of bottle feeding and all, I can say I would do it all over again just to savor those precious moments again. But...she deserves her forever family and I have to think of her, not me.<br />
<br />
I am confident that this girl went to a wonderful family and I am hoping to get updates and pictures of her as she adjusts to a new home. She will have a doggie friend and 2 other kitties to live with. I think she will enjoy it all.<br />
<br />
I will be sure to share any updates that I get from her new family. Good luck Kisses. I hope you have a wonderful life baby girl!Kitty Kisseshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14792077394068319533noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-654920288928770300.post-39948873021506644772011-09-09T11:41:00.000-07:002012-03-02T19:05:23.088-08:00Who's feeling kipper?? So who want's to know how my little Kipper is doing?<br />
<br />
I am proud to say this little tiger is GREAT! He's still chugging along, getting playful and even has a little pot belly now! He's eating on his own quite well and is such a little love bug. This boy was not going to give up, and I wasn't gonna let him. I am so happy to say that I have no doubt that he will be a perfectly happy and healthy little boy in no time, cuz he's alomst there! I'm giving him antibiotics for his cold, and still giving him his vitamins just in case, but I have been able to stop several other meds, ointments and fluids with no problem. =)<br />
<br />
I had Kipper isolated from the other kittens since he was new, and had the sniffles. But Kipper had another idea. Two nights ago, he squeezed out of his crate and I awoke to find him romping around with the other kittens in my room. I have to say, it was quite adorable and I was so happy to see him playing and acting like a normal kitten! Him and Mackenzie decided that they would both go back into his crate and cuddle in his bed afterwards. So I think they are going to be BFFs ;)<br />
<br />
So now that you guys know he is doing wonderfully and is looking better each day, you wanna see him right?? =)<br />
<br />
Look at the new and improved KIPPER!!<br />

I have yet to introduce...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
A very special little guy.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<strong>'Kipper'</strong></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XwOHbVv_Ng0/TmU-sPn4v-I/AAAAAAAAAdU/Wh9xDSlwrZU/s1600/083.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XwOHbVv_Ng0/TmU-sPn4v-I/AAAAAAAAAdU/Wh9xDSlwrZU/s400/083.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Kipper came to the shelter with several other kitties. most of which were not in the greatest of health. Unfortunately, this little guy had the worst of it. Believe it or not, this picture was taken today, after several days of nursing him back to health. If you had seen this boy the first night he was here, it would have brought tears to your eyes as it did mine. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I decided to bring Kipper home even though I had 5 others, because I could not bear to think of what may happen to him had I left him alone that night. Kipper was extremely underweight, dehydrated, listless and showing severe Upper Respiratory Infection signs. His eyes were swollen, full of pus and glued completely shut. He was 10oz of nothing but skin and bones. When I checked on him last Wednesday night, he was laying limp and quiet. I knew then that if I didn't take him home, I would likely come back to a lifeless kitten on the morning.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I scooped this little guy up and brought him into the vet treatment area. The vet staff were already gone for the night. I should have been gone myself, but I just couldn't leave without checking on this little one first. I immediately gave him fluids, force fed him a bit, washed the diarrhea off of him and gave him a boost of vitamins and some meds. After that, I made him a nice warm rice pack and snuggled him into a carrier to take him home.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I continued to syringe feed him through the night, hoping I would wake to a half-way normal acting kitten. And that I did! I awoke to his little self screaming for attention and food! Just one night of pumping him full of goodies and he was almost like brand new!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have continued to give him fluids daily as well as vitamins and meds for his eyes and tummy, and he has continued to do better and better. His eyes stay open and no longer glue shut at night. He cries for attention and has even started to purr for me! I have faith that this little one will soon be a beautiful,bouncy little boy! Wish him luck =)</div>Kitty Kisseshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14792077394068319533noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-654920288928770300.post-39150144650284653482011-09-05T14:35:00.000-07:002012-03-02T19:06:31.497-08:00Full House!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I have been slacking on keeping you all posted on the kittehs here. This is NOT because there isn't much going on. <br />
<br />
Everyone knows Kisses right? ;) Well she got spayed and is waiting for her furrever family now. i will be keeping her until they come along. She is doing great and growing like crazy! She's still spunky as ever, as if nothing ever happened. No worries about this girl, she's a tank! <br />
<br />
As for the other little ones...<br />
<br />
<br />
There's Lulu!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-P6tnYmH5qHw/TmUwK1PJrLI/AAAAAAAAAdI/3mvVbI_dEMo/s1600/059.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-P6tnYmH5qHw/TmUwK1PJrLI/AAAAAAAAAdI/3mvVbI_dEMo/s400/059.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This little one came in by herself a couple of weeks ago. I quickly found her a friend...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
It's Tolley!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EZWA-tx1Fyw/TmUwv4dXhsI/AAAAAAAAAdM/KVWdfNHBYlI/s1600/546.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EZWA-tx1Fyw/TmUwv4dXhsI/AAAAAAAAAdM/KVWdfNHBYlI/s400/546.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
He came in the same day as Lulu. They were both lonely sin gletons crying for attention. So I gave them each other, and brought them home ;)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
TWO MORE!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1Nn8F_nyMyY/TmUxaG_Xc0I/AAAAAAAAAdQ/xoE4pad89GM/s1600/041.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1Nn8F_nyMyY/TmUxaG_Xc0I/AAAAAAAAAdQ/xoE4pad89GM/s400/041.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Mackenzie and Cherry!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
(tortie) (orange)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
These girls were irresistable. Just a wee bit bigger than the previous two. But barely! I had to bring them home too! Unfortunately, these guys were all a bit too small for me to leave at the shelter overnight, so I either had to find a foster for them immediately, or take them myself. And of course...I TOOK THEM! =)</div>
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
What an adorable little family! look at Kisses playing Big Sis! =)</div>

I can't believe it, but she is over 2lbs now! This means that she has reach the milestone...the top of the hill...the time to find a family of her own. I knew this time would come, but boy does it seem like it came too soon!<br />
<br />
Kisses has been one special kitten. I've fostered kittens from birth to adult cats for over 5 years now. I have fond memories of them all, but every once in a while you get one that just has something more. Kisses is definitely one of those.<br />
<br />
Let's relive her journey...<br />
<br />
<br />
Kisses came into the shelter at a mere 2 weeks old, by herself, no momma...no siblings. She was brought to me carried in a coworkers shirt. Of course everyone knows that I am the major sucker for these eensy ones. I saw her adorable little face, her bright eyes, and pudgy belly and was instantly smitten! I couldn't help but take her home. Unfortunately, the alternative would have been euthanasia.<br />
<br />
I brought Kisses to and from work with me everyday for several weeks. She became a celebrity amongst the shelter employees. Everyone always asked about her, held her, kissed her and oogled over her cuteness. I fed her during my breaks an she had lunch with me everyday.<br />
<br />
After having Kisses for a couple of weeks, Dog-A-Thon came along. We met the itty bitty kitties and spent some time answering phones at Laurie's..<br />
